What is a Valor Block™?

A Valor Block is a custom, museum-quality desktop keepsake for a U.S. military veteran. Your ribbons, medals, badges, unit insignia, rank, and nameplate (or those of a veteran you love) are printed directly onto the back of a thick, crystal-clear optical acrylic block. Light refraction through the acrylic creates a striking floating 3D effect.

What size is it?

The flagship Valor Block is a 7×5" landscape block, roughly ¾–1" thick — the perfect size for a desk, shelf, or mantel. Larger Valor Canvas™ prints are also available for wall display.

How does the 3D effect work?

Accepted Answer

Your design is printed on the back of a solid, polished acrylic block. Light bending through the thick clear acrylic — combined with pre-baked shadows in the artwork — makes ribbons, medals, and badges look like they're floating inside the block.

Is it fragile?

No. Solid optical acrylic is durable and won't yellow like cheap resin. It's safe on a desk, bookshelf, or end table, and much lighter than glass.

Do I need to know all of their ribbons and awards?

Not perfectly. Our builder walks you through it branch-by-branch with an authentic library of ribbons, medals, badges, ranks, and unit insignia. If you have their DD-214 or a photo of their existing rack, that helps — but many buyers piece it together from memory and family stories, then adjust.

Can I save my design and come back later?

Yes. Create a free account and your build is saved to your dashboard. You can also share the preview with family before finalizing.

Can I preview it before ordering?

Absolutely. The builder shows a live preview at every step, and you can download a proof before checkout. What you see is what gets printed.

What if I make a mistake in the design?

Because every block is made-to-order from what you approve at checkout, we can't replace a block for a design mistake. Take your time with the preview — and reach out before you order if you'd like a second set of eyes.

Where does your ribbon data come from?

Our ribbon library and precedence order are based on public military regulations for each branch (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and joint awards). We work hard to keep it current.

What if a ribbon, badge, or unit patch is missing?

Let us know. We're adding to the library regularly and can often add a missing item quickly. Contact us with the name of the award or patch and we'll take a look.

Will my ribbons be in the correct precedence order?

Yes — the builder automatically stacks your ribbons in the correct precedence for your branch, so the rack looks the way it would in real life.

How do I pay?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through a secure Stripe checkout. Your card details never touch our servers.

Most 7×5 acrylic Valor Blocks ship within 5–10 business days. Larger Valor Canvas™ prints go through our print-on-demand partner and typically ship in 7–12 business days.

Sometimes — it depends on our current queue. Reach out with your target date and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

What's your return policy?

Every Valor Block is custom made-to-order, so we can't accept change-of-mind returns. If your block arrives with a printing defect or shipping damage, contact us with photos and we'll get a return started. Once the item is returned within 30 days of delivery, we'll remake it or refund you in full — your choice.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we'll email you return instructions. Once the item is back with us (postmarked within 30 days of delivery), we'll ship a replacement or issue a full refund.

Are you affiliated with the U.S. military?

No. Valor Block is an independent, privately-owned company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. We simply love honoring the people who served.
