Matt is a fiercely patriotic American who served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He founded Valor Block™ with a single mission: build something worthy of the men and women who wore the uniform — and the families who love them.
He doesn't see this as a business. He sees it as a duty. Every block that ships from his shop carries the same respect he learned to give the ribbon rack on his own dress blues.
It started with their stories.
Long before he ever put on a uniform, Matt was the kid at the kitchen table asking the questions. He grew up fascinated by World War II — the campaigns, the boats, the beachheads, the men who came home and quietly went back to work. Whenever a veteran of that era was in the room, he'd sit down and listen, hoping to hear one more story before it was gone.
He didn't have to look far. Both of his grandfathers had answered the call — one in the U.S. Army, the other in the U.S. Navy. The details they shared, the ones they wouldn't, and the ribbons tucked away in dresser drawers left a mark that never faded.
